We didn’t know how to do that when Gaara still had Shukaku. But we did talk about them a lot and they must have heard at least most of that, maybe that’s almost like having them meet.
And thank you!

Naruto: There was that festival back when you lived with me in Konoha for a couple of months, before I left with Jiraiya.
Gaara: For the leaves changing colour?
N: I think so! It was something about leaves…
G: That sounds likely.
N: Yeah. What did we do… I ate a lot of candy?
G: And I bought a lot of candy.

Naruto: Sandypants! ♥
Gaara: No.
N: Aw. Gaara~
G: I don’t. I just call you by name.
N: You did call me “light itself” once.
G: …You weren’t supposed to find out about that one.

Acting Kazekage, Temari: Yes, they are, and the location is classified. It may be a while before they get back - it’s their anniversary - but rest assured that the villages are both in good hands.

Matsuri of Sunagakure is a brave and loyal person who is willing to look past prejudice to make friends and to risk her life to protect them. I am happy to have her in my life. We don’t see each other as much anymore as we are no longer teacher and student, but I count her among my friends and most trusted jounin.
It is disturbing that so many people would have hateful things to say about her. I used to think this might be due to her association with me and that these people still don’t trust me, but they claim to be loyal to me in the same breath as they express wishing to hurt - and for me to hurt - one of my friends and citizens. Going by what I’ve learned from the times I’ve been able to confront someone spreading these rumors and downright threats, most of these people barely even know anything about her. It appears they hate her on principle rather than for anything she may have done to them.
It seems strange to me, but this is not something I have experience in from her point of view (as I have done plenty of things people could hate me for), so it’s to be expected that I wouldn’t fully understand. In fact, all other people I know with experiences similar to hers are women. For these reasons I’m not the ideal person to explain this and any of them would be better qualified, but in any case, it would appear that the reason these people so hate Matsuri, or Sari, or Sakura Haruno, Hinata Hyuuga, Ino Yamanaka, and many other women I have a great deal of respect for, is that they are women and these people are misogynist.
